The Croydon Symphonic Band was formed in 1973 as a community band to provide amateur wind and brass players in Croydon and surrounding areas the opportunity of rehearsing and performing in concerts. The Band has never held auditions and has a wide cross-section of membership of all ages and ability, which currently stands at over 50 players. The Band has performed  regularly at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, and has also performed at St.John's Smith Square, London. In addition the Band performs a regular  charity concert at Christmas in a local  church and at various park bandstands in the summer.

The Band regularly performs at the National Concert Band Festival and has obtained four Gold Awards at the finals in recent years, most recently at Birmingham, April 2010.

We welcome new members. No auditions, just come along and enjoy the fun of a rehearsal!

This new website is still under construction so please bear with us if a link is not operational yet. Please contact the Webmaster with any ideas or suggestions for the site.

An archive section has now been started. If anyone has any information or pictures of the band from the past, please let the webmaster know.
